June 2016: Three ‘World’ volumes are completed

Since publication of the Diary volumes in April 2013 work has continued on preparing the four volumes of commentary and analysis relating to Mary Hardy, her circle and the world they inhabited.

Three have now been completed in summer 2016. Together these three volumes total more than 1900 pages, plus many pages of colour plates for each volume.

As with the Diary volumes, a black-and-white illustration directly referring to the text can be found on almost every page of Mary Hardy and her World.

The banner shows a finely detailed map of Norwich dated 1779, from the Cozens-Hardy Collection—one of the colour images in the set.

It will take at least another year to finish the fourth volume. Then begins the major task of indexing . . .
